INFANT FAQs
Our infant-care program welcomes babies beginning at six weeks of age. Please contact us to discuss current openings, enrollment availability, and when your child would transition into the next classroom.
Yes. We understand that infants have their own routines. Our caregivers work with families to follow each baby’s feeding, bottle, nap, and comfort schedule as closely as possible while the child is in our care.
Infants enjoy age-appropriate activities such as tummy time, music, stories, sensory play, movement, and one-on-one interaction with caregivers. Activities are adjusted to fit each child’s age, interests, and stage of development.
Families receive regular information about feedings, naps, diaper changes, activities, and other important moments from the day. Open communication helps parents and caregivers maintain consistent routines and address any questions or concerns.
Families are typically asked to provide items such as prepared bottles or feeding supplies, diapers, wipes, extra clothing, and comfort items permitted by the center. A complete supply list will be provided during enrollment.
We take time to learn about your child’s routines, preferences, and ways of being comforted. Consistent caregivers, gentle transitions, familiar schedules, and ongoing communication with parents help babies gradually become comfortable in their new environment.

WADDLER FAQs
Our waddler care program is designed for children between 1 and 2 years old. Placement may also depend on each child’s development, mobility and readiness for the classroom environment.
Waddlers enjoy a balance of active play, sensory activities, music, movement, stories, simple art and outdoor exploration. Familiar routines for meals, naps and diaper changes help children feel comfortable and secure throughout the day.
Our classroom provides safe opportunities for children to crawl, stand, walk, climb and explore. Age-appropriate toys, movement activities and outdoor play help strengthen balance, coordination and developing motor skills.
Our teachers respond with patience, comfort and reassurance. Consistent routines and caring relationships help children feel safe, while simple words, gestures and redirection help them begin understanding and expressing their emotions.
No. Children do not need to be fully walking or toilet trained to join the waddler program. Our teachers support each child’s individual stage of development and work with families as new skills begin to emerge.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN FAQs
Our Pre-K program is designed for children who are preparing for kindergarten, typically between the ages of 3 and 5. We focus on helping each child build the academic, social, emotional, and independence skills needed for a confident transition to school.
Children develop early literacy, math, problem-solving, communication, and classroom skills through hands-on learning and structured activities. We also help children practice following routines, listening, sharing, working in groups, and becoming more independent.
Each day includes a balance of teacher-guided learning, creative activities, imaginative play, music, movement, outdoor play, meals, rest time, and opportunities for children to explore their interests. Our routines provide structure while still allowing plenty of time for children to learn through play.
Toilet training readiness can vary from child to child. We encourage families to contact us to discuss their child’s individual needs and where they are in the toilet-training process.
Meals and snack options may vary depending on enrollment and program schedules. Families are encouraged to contact Fairy Tales Child Care & Development Center for current information about meals, snacks, dietary needs, and food policies.
Communication with families is an important part of our program. Our teachers share updates about your child’s day, development, classroom experiences, and milestones so parents can stay connected to what their child is learning and experiencing.
